City hires Moser to serve as city administrator

Posted

CLINTONVILLE - The city of Clintonville has hired Craig Moser to serve as its next city administrator effective July 20.
The Clintonville Common Council unanimously approved the hire at its July 14 meeting.
The hire was necessary due to former city administrator Caz Muske leaving the city in June to accept the city manager position for the city of Platteville.
Prior to the approval, Moser addressed the council and those in attendance.
“I’m thrilled at the opportunity to come work for the city of Clintonville and I’m really excited to get to work,” Moser said. “It sounds like there’s work to be done, so I’m ready to roll up the sleeves and get going.”

According to a July 15 press release released by the city, a comprehensive executive recruitment process was conducted prior to hiring Moser.
It was also stated in the press release that “Moser will serve as the City’s Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing daily municipal operations, implementing the policies and priorities of the Mayor and Common Council, leading financial management, supporting economic development, and ensuring the effective delivery of City services.”
Experience
According to the press release, Moser has more than 20 years of public service experience, most recently serving as deputy director of the East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission. He also spent 11 years in executive leadership roles with Outagamie County and 12 years serving the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.
“Craig brings the experience, professionalism, and personality we were looking for in our next City Administrator,” said Clintonville Mayor Jeannie Schley. “His approachable leadership style and commitment to public service make him the right person to lead our staff team and help move Clintonville forward.”
In the press release, Moser said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the City of Clintonville. I look forward to working alongside the Mayor, Common Council, City staff, residents, businesses, and community partners to build strong relationships, provide excellent public service, and help advance the City’s priorities for the future.”
Contract
The contract that was approved by the council for Moser included a prorated annual salary of $130,000 per year. That salary will increase to $135,000 per year after six months of employment and a satisfactory performance review by the mayor and common council.
