NEW LONDON – The New London Common Council approved a professional services agreement with Donohue and Associates Inc. for wastewater improvement design, funding, and bidding in the amount of $667,750.
The approval came at the Oct. 21 council meeting.
At the Oct. 6 New London Board of Public Works meeting, Robert Garske, director of Public Works for the city of New London told the committee that the agreement would cover three phases of the upgrade to the New London Wastewater Treatment Facility. The three phases include project development, process design, and process layout.
Breaking down the total cost of the agreement, project development is estimated to cost $65,980, with process design costing $214,920, and process layout costing $386,850.
The type of upgrades the city makes to the facility will be decided in later phases.
