Countdown to Friday

NEW LONDON - An aerial view captures the massive crowd filling North Water Street during last year’s inaugural downtown market. Following a spectacular debut that drew nearly 5,000 visitors, the New London Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsors the return of the event this Friday, June 5, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for the 2nd Annual Summer Kickoff – Night Market.
This year’s patriotic theme, “Stars, Stripes & Summer Nights,” double-celebrates the City of New London’s 175th Anniversary and the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday.
The free-admission street festival will feature:
• Live music: Headliner is Nashville Pipeline.
• Festivities: Food trucks, craft and artisan vendors, a beer garden, and family-friendly interactive experiences.

Street Closure
North Water Street will be closed to vehicle traffic to transform the riverfront into a vibrant, illuminated pedestrian hub. For ongoing scheduling updates, check out the New London Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
