Fatal crash in Lind

WAUPACA – Waupaca County Sheriff deputies responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Southwood Drive and County Trunk E in the Town of Lind on Oct. 24 at 8:44 p.m.
They found the driver and passenger trapped in the vehicle and they were able to recue both of them. Gold Cross Ambulance transported them to ThedaCare in Neenah. On Oct. 28, the sheriff’s office was notified the driver did not survive.
Investigators determined the vehicle was going eastbound on Southwood and hit a tree. The Waupaca Area Fire Department assisted at the crash scene.
