Intersection to close for construction

NEW LONDON – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will close southern portion of the County Trunk D and North Shawano Street and State Highway 54 intersection in New London. The closure is part of the ongoing construction project in the area.
The south half of the intersection will be closed Monday, Aug. 17 at 6 a.m. and reopened by Sept. 14. The north half of the intersection will be reopened the same day. There may be a short time when both sections are closed on Monday morning to facilitate the moving of the traffic control devices. State Highway remain open throughout the project.
The schedule is dependent on weather conditions and construction progress. There will be no posted detour with this closure.
