NEW LONDON – The School District of New London’s Board of Education met in regular session on November 12 and again on November 25 for a special meeting, where a key highlight was the release of the annual district report card results.
The district as a whole achieved an “Exceeding Expectations” rating with an overall score of 71.3, a substantial increase from 62.8 the previous year. This places the district in one of the top two accountability ratings produced by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
The following schools were specifically noted for their accountability ratings for the 2024-25 school year:
Exceeds Expectations
• The School District of New London (overall)

• New London High School (70.4 from 57.8)
Catalyst Academy got a Satisfactory Progress rating which uses an alternative accountability system.
The report cards are based on four Priority Areas: Achievement, Growth, Target Group Outcomes, and On-Track to Graduation. The district’s student demographics, which show 39.3% of students are economically disadvantaged, result in a weighting of 22.1% for Achievement and 27.9% for the Growth priority area.
The board also received the Third Friday Pupil Count Report, which tallied the current enrollment at 1,935 students. This count includes 117 students open-enrolled into the district and 266 students open-enrolled out.
