Posted

WAUPACA – The Parfreyville United Methodist Church (PUMC) Children and Youth Grant Program is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 grants
Waupaca Community Arts Hub: Awarded $1000 to support children / youth tuition assistance to offset programming fees, helping to make lessons and classes in art, cooking, improv, pottery and music more accessible.
Golden Sands Research Conservation and Development Council: Awarded $1000 to support the Waupaca County Conservation Field Day, an annual full day of environmental education for 350-450 Waupaca County 5th grade students. The event features 20-25 hands-on field stations, each highlighting a different conservation concept or career.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace: Awarded $1000 to support the “No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!” project which utilizes volunteers to build and deliver twin-size beds to youth ages 3-17 that are sleeping on the floor or in other uncomfortable situations.
Trinity’s Tiny Treasures Preschool: Awarded $500 to support a Toniebox Audio System and companion headphones for the preschool’s literacy center. This initiative aims to foster independent reading habits, improve phonological awareness, and provide an inclusive learning environment for students with sensory processing sensitivities.
The grant program was made possible by a memorial donation received years ago to be used to help children and youth. The fund has grown sufficiently to now extend the blessings of this gift to help children and youth in the larger community, consistent with the intent of the donors. For more information about the Children and Youth Grant Program, contact the church office at (715) 258-8615 or email office@warmumc.com.
