Patricia “Pat” L. Fry, formerly of Waupaca, WI passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, VA. She was born in Waupaca on July 10, 1932, the youngest daughter of the late Theodore L. Nelson and Anne (Kondziela) Monroe. Pat’s father passed away when she was a child, and her mother raised the three daughters as a single parent. Her mother remarried after the girls graduated from high school. Pat graduated from Waupaca High School in 1950. On October 8, 1950, she married William J. Fry and together they had six children. Pat and William later divorced.
She is survived by her children: Marsha (Darrel) Griffin, Steven (Cindy) Fry, Susan Maxey, Lynn (Ken) Thomas, Lary Fry. Sisters: Marjorie Sawyer, Donna Wiesen and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Nelson and Anne Monroe; a son, Michael; brothers-in-law: Donald Sawyer and Russell Wiesen; her former husband William Fry. She will be interred at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery, Waupaca, WI. Per Pat’s wishes no services will be held.
