Pedestrian teen struck by vehicle

MUKWA – Waupaca County Sheriff deputies responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on June 26 at approximately 5:13 p.m. on State Highway 54 near Ferry Street in the Township of Mukwa.
An SUV was traveling eastbound on State Highway 54 and struck a 13-year-old female walking in the roadway, east of Ferry Street. The female was transported to Thedacare Neenah by Thedastar Med Evac helicopter. The driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with law enforcement. The crash remains under investigation and alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Deputies were assisted by the New London Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance Service.
