Spring election: Waupaca County Board

COUNTY — All seats on the Waupaca County Board of Supervisors are up for two-year terms in the April 7 election. Here is a breakdown of each district, the areas they cover, and the candidates running.

District 1
City of Clintonville-Wards 1 & 4; Village of Embarrass; Town of Matteson
Incumbent DuWayne Federwitz will face challenger Andrew Werth.

District 2

City of Clintonville-Wards 6, 7 & 8
Incumbent Tammy Strey-Hirt is not seeking reelection. No other candidates filed and the seat will be determined by write in votes.

District 3
City of Clintonville-Wards 2, 3 & 5
Incumbent Lois Bressette is not seeking reelection. Darrell Hansen will be on the ballot for the seat unchallenged.

District 4
Dupont-Ward 2; Larrabee; Union-Ward 1
Incumbent Dennis Wengelski is seeking reelection unchallenged.

District 5
City of Marion-Wards 1-3; Dupont-Ward 1

Incumbent Lee Much is seeking reelection unchallenged.

District 6
Bear Creek; Helvetia-Ward 2; Lebanon-Ward 2; Union-Ward 2
Incumbent Dick Rohan is not seeking reelection. Barry Bartz is running for the seat with no challengers.

District 7

Village of Iola; Town of Iola-Ward 2; Town of Scandinavia-Ward 1
Ricky Ertl is seeking the seat with no challengers.

District 8
Village of Big Falls; Harrison; Helvetia-Ward 1; Town of Iola-Ward 1; Wyoming
Incumbent Lila Malvik-Shower is seeking reelection with no challengers.

District 9
Village of Scandinavia; Farmington-Ward 2; Town of Scandinavia-Ward 2; St. Lawrence-Ward 1
Incumbent James Nygaard is seeking reelection with no challengers.

District 10
City of Waupaca-Wards 1, 4 & 9; Farmington-Ward 6

Incumbent Kevin Will is seeking reelection with no challengers.

District 11
City of Waupaca-Wards 5, 6 & 10
Lee Trainor will be on the ballot. Russ Butkiewicz posted on social media that he is also running for the seat as a write-in candidate and officially filed with the clerk's office on March 20.

District 11

City of Waupaca-Wards 2, 3 & 7
Incumbent Scott Purchatzke is seeking reelection with no challengers.

District 13
City of Waupaca-Ward 8; Farmington-Wards 4, 5
Incumbent Theodore Johnson is seeking reelection with no challengers.

District 14
Farmington-Wards 1, 3
Incumbent Allen Kraeger is seeking re-election unchallenged.

District 15
Dayton-Wards 1-3
Don Holtabeck is seeking the seat unchallenged.

District 16
Dayton-Ward 4; Lind-Wards 2 & 3
Incumbent Judith Suhs is seeking reelection unchallenged.

District 17
Village of Ogdensburg; Little Wolf-Ward 2; St. Lawrence-Ward 2; Town of Waupaca Incumbent Larry Eisentraut will face challenger Russell Montgomery.

District 18
City of Weyauwega-Ward 3; Little Wolf-Ward 3; Royalton-Wards 1 & 3
Incumbent Cameron Looker is not seeking reelection. Jackie Beyer will be on the ballot, while Kyle Radtke is running as a write-in candidate.

District 19
City of Weyauwega-Wards 1, 2 & 4; Royalton-Ward 2
Incumbent Jack Spierings is not seeking reelection. No candidates filed to be on the ballot and the seat will be decided by write in votes.

District 20
Village of Fremont; Town of Fremont-Ward 1; Town of Lind-Ward 1; Town of Weyauwega
Incumbent Cindy Hardy will face challenger Joel Bartel.

District 21
Town of Caledonia; Town of Fremont-Ward 2
Incumbent Pete Bosquez is seeking reelection with no challengers.

District 22
Mukwa-Wards 2, 3 & 5
Incumbent Kenneth Jaeger is seeking reelection with no challengers. 

District 23
City of New London-Wards 1-3
Incumbent David Morack is seeking reelection with no challengers.

District 24
City of New London-Wards 4-6
Incumbent Fred Zaug is seeking reelection with no challengers.

District 25
City of New London-Wards 7-9; Town of Mukwa-Ward 4
Incumbent Robert Way will face challenger Darla Meshke.

District 26
Lebanon-Wards 1 & 3; Mukwa-Ward 1
Incumbent Bernie Ritchie will face challenger Robert Ferg.

District 27
City of Manawa; Little Wolf-Ward 1
Incumbent Jacob Timm is not seeking reelection. Jeromy Schuelke and Mark Lehrer will vie for the seat.
