• March 14 – A traffic stop led to the arrest of the driver who had a $50,000 warrant out of Iowa.
• March 14 – A Fairfield Inn employee informed an officer that someone with an Illinois phone number was continuously calling and “saying disgusting things.”
• March 14 – A man was sitting on Black Bridge and listening to music. He was advised of no trespassing and was moved along.
• March 14 – Officers were dispatched to Minnesota Avenue for a report of a loud party. Upon arrival, officers learned that two males had been fighting and were underage drinking.
• March 15 – Officers responded to Comfort Suites for a report of a disturbance. Two friends got into physical altercations at the hotel which resulted in one of their phones becoming damaged in the process.
• March 16 – A 60-year-old man reported that his soon to be ex-daughter in law was entrapping him.
• March 16 – A semi truck was stuck in the snow on Highway 10 and was blocking all the east bound lanes.
• March 16 – Officers were called to Madison Street for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, they found three individuals playing video games. The individuals admitted to being very loud and saying things like “shoot that [expletive].” They were advised to keep the noise down and close their windows.
• March 16 – An individual reported the odor of marijuana coming from their neighbor’s door on Maria Drive.
• March 17 – Stevens Point officers assisted the Plover Police Department with a pursuit. The Portage County Sheriff’s Office conducted a PIT maneuver on the suspect. He was taken into custody on multiple charges.
• March 17 – Officers were dispatched to Fremont Street for a death investigation. Officers responded to the residence and located a deceased female, who was later transported to a funeral home.
• March 18 – A woman advised that the flushed some methamphetamine down the toilet before officers could pick it up to be destroyed.
• March 18 – Officers were dispatched to Blue Top Inn on Church Street for a report of a trespassing incident. Building management was requesting officers to evict a tenant after being served papers by the court.
• March 18 – A woman at Metro Market on Pinecrest Avenue was yelling profanities.
• March 18 – A 67-year-old man was swearing at ER staff at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital. He was refusing to leave. Officers made contact with the man who was upset that the staff discharged him in slippers and wouldn’t give him a ride home. The man was provided a ride back to his Plover residence and spoken to about his behavior.
• March 19 – A man was extremely intoxicated and taken to the hospital to detox. He was described as unable to move his body and lying face down in the snow.
• March 19 – One male was arrested for a physical fight on Michigan Avenue.
• March 19 – Officers responded to Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital for a male who refused to leave after being medically cleared. He demanded to be arrested, made threats, and was then ultimately taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
• March 19 – A man reported computer fraud that had currently cost him $49,800.
• March 20 – Officers responded to Songbird Lane for a report a disturbance. The caller reported hearing crying, banging, and someone saying, “No, stop”. When officers arrived on scene, people could be heard inside but no one would answer the door. A male fled the scene from a window in his underwear. Contact was then made with two females inside who denied any altercation or injuries. Officers were unable to locate the male.
• March 20 – Fishing poles were reported as stolen from a Franklin Street address.
• March 20 – A 38-year-old man was intoxicated but refusing assistance, he was then removed from the Cozy Kitchen’s property on Third Street. He turned over his alcohol which was later destroyed.
• March 20 – A sleeping bag and blanket, described as, covered in vomit was found in the bus stop by Main Street and Strongs Avenue.
• March 20 – A counterfeit $20 bill was used as payment at Buffy’s.
• March 20 – Three individuals on Prentice Street got into a verbal argument over one man believing the other two individuals were smoking THC.
• March 20 – A 20-year-old woman reported she was being followed by a man while walking home on Division Street. The male suspect was asking her for cigarettes. Officers located the man matching the description and advised him to leave people alone.
