SWAT Team rescues woman

WAUPACA – On Wednesday, Jan. 21, the Waupaca County SWAT Team executed a search and arrest warrant for a dangerous armed suspect stemming from a domestic abuse incident.
The team was a combination of deputies and officers of the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the Waupaca Police Department, the New London Police Department, the Clintonville Police Department, the Marion Police Department, the Iola Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The team rescued a female victim from the residence and apprehended a 47-year old Weyauwega man who was charged with numerous criminal offenses.
