Undercover sting catches pedophile

WAUPACA – On January 24, the Waupaca Police Department received information regarding a 25-year-old male from Kronenwetter who was planning to travel to Waupaca to meet a 14-year-old female to engage in sexual activity. Little did he know, the man was communicating with an undercover Waupaca Police officer
At approximately 8:18 p.m., officers made contact with the Dylan Tyler Reynolds, 25, and took him into custody without incident. Reynolds was transported to the Waupaca County Jail, where he is currently being held.
He is charged with Use of a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime, a Class C felony. The investigation is ongoing. The Waupaca PD is a member of the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
