Waupaca stretch of U.S. 10 gets fix-up

Posted

MADISON – Governor Evers signed a $4.4 million contract on April 27 to improve U.S. 10 westbound, between Anderson Road and Appletree Lane, a stretch of highway just outside of Waupaca. Work is scheduled to begin May 4, 2026.
Chippewa Concrete Services, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project. Work includes completing joint repairs and replacement, replacing the asphalt shoulders, replacing guardrail, inlet repairs as needed, new pavement marking and replacing curb ramps that are not compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
During construction, U.S. 10, State Highway 49 and State Highway 22 (Lakeside Parkway) will have single lane closures. U.S. 10 ramps at State Highway 49, State Highway 22 and Churchill Street will also have short duration closures.
Construction is anticipated for completion by July 31, 2026. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
