CLINTONVILLE – Now that the operational referendum has been approved by residents of the Clintonville School District, the Clintonville Board of Education approved creating reading interventionist and math interventionist positions at Clintonville Middle School and Clintonville High School, as well as a school counselor position at Clintonville Elementary School.
The approvals came at the board’s April 27 meeting. Also at the meeting, the board took no action on adding a pupil service position for the middle school and high school.
After approving the three new positions, the board approved the transfer of Julie Rohrer from her position as English teacher at Clintonville High School to fill the newly approved reading interventionist position at the middle school and high school.
Clintonville Superintendent Troy Kuhn told the board that prior to the operational referendum being approved by district residents that the district had considered adding seven employment positions in the district. Kuhn said he told the district’s administrative team he was going to ask the board to fill four of those jobs, not all seven.
The first two positions that Kuhn said the administrative team would like to add are a reading interventionist and math interventionist for Clintonville Middle School and Clintonville High School.
