CLINTONVILLE – The bond rating for the Clintonville School District has improved to “stable.”
Jessica Holtz, director of Finance with CESA 8’s Financial Services, who the district contracts with for financial services, informed the Clintonville Board of Education at its Dec. 8 meeting about the bond rating increase. She said the district’s previous rating was an A-. It has now increased to an A.
The outlook revision reflects the district’s financial performance, enhanced budgeting practices, and financial forecasting, Holtz told the board.
“All of the stuff that we’ve put into play has really helped us to be able to pump that (bond rating) up,” Holtz said. “As long as we continue what we’re doing in showing improvements, then we can continue to improve that rating. And improving that rating will help us if we go out to bond.”
