CLINTONVILLE – Over the past month, the Clintonville School District has received several donations to benefit students.
At the Sept. 22 Clintonville Board of Education meeting, Clintonville Superintendent Troy Kuhn informed the board that the district received a donation of 1,043 board feet of lumber from the Tigerton Lumber Company for the high school woodshop classes. The district also received a $2,000 donation for the girls’ soccer program from an anonymous donor.
He added that the district also received a donation of $1,030 from Farm Technology Days of Wisconsin. Last year, students had built garden benches that were sold at Farm Technology Days that was held in Bear Creek at Clinton Farms during the summer.
At the Oct. 13 board meeting, Kuhn informed the board that the district had received several donations towards the Clintonville Elementary School snack pantry. The donations included: refrigerator from Be Well Coalition of Waupaca County; shelving, baskets, and storage from FoodWise Waupaca County-Hailee Paul; a $250 grant from Kwik Trip-Kyle Schmidt, district leader; 200 string cheese from Blue Hill Farms-Mary Behnke; and various other donors also donated packages of snacks.
At the Oct. 27 board meeting, Kuhn informed the board about a $100 donation from Harbor Freight to use towards hand tools and drill bits for the high school technical education department. A donation of $200 was also received from the Beverly Berg Memorial to be applied towards the food service fund for students in need.
