In 2025, SPASH Panthers softball put together a stellar season, going 21-6 and 9-3 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, and advancing to the regional final. In 2026, the Panthers return plenty of talent, including outfielder Jordan Roth, who was a unanimous First-Team All-WVC selection in 2025.

Jordan was introduced to softball by her dad and brothers at age five, but softball wasn’t always her favorite sport, as her first love was figure skating.
Challenging herself in the classroom and on the field has been a top priority for Jordan. “As I challenged myself with more difficult classes, I had to develop peak time-management skills to balance studying and homework with bus rides and games.”

Being able to get lost in the game keeps Jordan’s enthusiasm for softball going.

“My favorite part of the sport is the feeling you get from it. When I am playing softball, I am not thinking about anything else, and I can just focus. Also, the feeling of making diving catches or getting a hit when we need one is one of the most rewarding feelings that keeps me coming back for more.”

The Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville recruit, who finds inspiration in the Rocky and Creed movies, sees her best assets while competing are her hunger for winning and her speed.

Jordan’s most memorable moments are not just on the field but the relationship she has with his team, “Experiencing the connections between teammates at all times, including on the bus, before/after practice, during the game, and even outside of softball.” and appreciates her high school athletics career, “It’s a comforting, rewarding feeling to know that I found something for myself. I am so grateful the sport will always be around, and I got to experience falling in love with it. As an athlete, I really just feel a sense of accomplishment.”

There are several coaches Jordan likes to thank for helping guide her through her time in softball: “I have multiple shout-outs. One being to coach Dronher and his endless support, pushing me to be my best. One for the coach, Loop for always keeping the game fun. One for Coach DJ for always being real with me. One for ex-coach Maddi Pholkamp for always listening to me regardless of whether my stressors were softball-related.”
