SPASH’s hockey team finished their season by reaching the 2026 WIAA Division 1 boys’ hockey state championship, thanks to a strong offense. Senior forward Grant Molski stood out, leading the team with 36 goals and 71 points.

He earned his third spot on the All-Wisconsin Valley Conference team and was a unanimous pick in 2026.

Grant started playing hockey when he was five, after his father Sam introduced him to the game. He loved the energy of hockey, saying, “It is fast-paced, and there is always something going on when you are playing. I stuck with it because I never got bored when I was on the ice.”

Molski dominated on the ice with his precision on the ice. “My speed and ability to control the puck” were his calling card throughout his high school career.

Grant found a balance with his time on the ice and in the classroom, “Freshman and sophomore years were the hardest because my schedule was full all day, then Junior and Senior years, I had more off hours, so I could balance my school work with sports way better.”

Molski has seen the strides in his game throughout his high school career, “It feels amazing how much I have developed throughout my career and keep getting better as the years go on.”

Grant will move on to playing juniors after graduation, but still remembers his first goal: “Getting my first goal in my first game as a freshman.”

SPASH varsity coach has helped Grant develop his game: “Coach Polkhamp came to coach SPASH when I was a freshman and has been with me for the last 4 years, helping my development.”
