STEVENS POINT — Nathan Williams, 25, made a court appearance on April 20 in connection to a March stabbing, and two other open cases in Portage County.
Around 5 a.m. on March 15, officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Frontenac Avenue for a reported stabbing. A male victim was taken to a hospital by Stevens Point EMS and was listed as being in critical condition. A March 17 press release updated the victim’s medical status from critical to stable, in addition to announcing Williams arrest in connection to the stabbing.
Williams is being held on a $200,000 bond in relation to the stabbing.
On April 20, Williams appeared in court for an adjourned initial appearance that addressed three open cases he is connected to in Portage County. For the March 15 stabbing, Williams is facing a charge of aggravated battery with the modifier of using a dangerous weapon and bail jumping. On Feb. 18 a charge was filed against Williams for operating while revoked. On Feb. 24, charges of felony and misdemeanor bail jumping, possession of THC (2nd offense), and operating while revoked were filed.
For the Feb. charges, Williams posted a $250 and $1,500 bond, respectively.
During the April 20 hearing Williams plead not guilty to the Feb. 18 charge of operating while revoked.
Williams will make his next court appearance on May 4.
