Stevens Point Police Report

• November 26 – A hit-and-run vehicle crash was reported on Clark Street.
• November 26 – A man reported getting calls that stated he owed money. He was advised it was most likely a scam call.
• November 27 – An elderly male was found deceased by his son. Nothing suspicious was found on the scene.
• November 27 – An anonymous caller stated a four-wheeler was being driven on the sidewalk on Fourth Avenue.
• November 27 – A retail theft from Kwik Trip on Church Street was reported.
• November 28 – Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Country Club Drive and Main Street. After investigating, an arrest was made for OWI 2nd Offense.
• November 28 – A caller was concerned about an individual that was sleeping on bridge on West Clark Street in the cold weather. An officer made contact with the individual who stated they were warm and did not need anything from the police.
• November 28 – A woman reported that her brother was allegedly taking her social security money from the bank. The police report noted that the woman got off topic during the conversation and occasionally spoke “nonsensically.”
• November 28 – A caller near Oak Street reported hearing the “sounds of a gunshot.”
• November 28 – Officers received complaints of a vehicle performing donuts in the Dunham Sports parking lot. The driver of the vehicle was located and admitted to performing the donuts.
• November 29 – A man slipped on ice and denied he had been drinking. An officer noted seeing an empty alcohol container near the man.
• November 30 – A man and woman created a disturbance over the woman’s new partner during a child custody exchange. The man was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Battery with • Domestic Enhancer, Resisting Arrest, and a Probation Violation. He was transported to jail without incident.
• December 1 – A student had brought a knife to Stevens Point Area High School and forgot it was in his pocket. Another student reported that he had a knife. The knife was confiscated.
• December 1 – A woman reported her tires had been slashed during the night. Dispatch advised the vehicle was currently at the mechanics. The woman stated she had suspicion of a suspect.
• December 1 – Officers responded to Kwik Trip on Stanley Street for a report of retail theft. The subject was identified, cited, and trespassed from the store.
• December 1 – Officers located a woman sleeping in the doorway of a closed Main Street business. The woman had a DOC warrant and was placed under arrest.
• December 1 – Officers were dispatched a report of a physical domestic with guns. Contact was made with a “non-complaint” suspect who was taken into custody after a taser deployment. The man was charged with multiple domestic crimes.
• December 2 – Kwik Trip off of Highway 10 reported a stolen candy bar. The suspect was located and agreed to return and pay.
• December 2 – Officers responded for a welfare check of a man falling in the snow and having trouble walking. He was arrested for a probation hold due to his intoxication level.
• December 2 – A man claimed he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Stanley Street. He was transported to a hospital.
• December 3 – An unknown individual called the Family Crisis Center almost fifty times and demanded to be accepted into the facility. The suspect was not identified at the time of the police report.
• December 3 – A man allegedly concealed a candy bar in his pocket and stated he did not have the money to pay Kwik Trip for it. Staff requested he be trespassed and return the candy bar.
• December 3 – Kwik Trip off of Highway 10 requested a man be moved along after charging his ankle monitor for over an hour inside the store.
• December 3 – A woman reported that a male was threatening to share nude images of her that she had previously sent him.
• December 4 – A mailbox was run over on Forest Street. Tire tracks were seen in the yard that went over the mailbox and into some bushes where glass from a broken window was found. • December 4 – A man claimed to see four people hiding in bushes that were watching him. Officers could not locate anyone in the bushes.
• December 4 – A caller reported hearing the sounds of gunshots in the area of Fifth Avenue. Officers check the area and were unable to locate anything.
