April 17 – A 58-year-old man went to the police department to report his neighbor had driven by his home and called him a “[expletive] coward.”
April 17 – A 57-year-old man called to report he was upset because his brother was allegedly calling him “gay.” Officers advised him to block his brother.
April 18 – A call came in about a man screaming in pain on Sims Avenue. Upon making contact, the man told officers he had been struck by a vehicle while skateboarding. Officers noted he had injuries and was going to go to the hospital.
April 18 – Officers assisted the Plover Police Department with a retail theft that occurred at Kohls.
April 18 – A caller reported young girls were selling cookies in the area of Prais Street and Indiana Avenue. The girls were reportedly running in and out of traffic. The caller was concerned they may get hit with a vehicle.
April 18 – A 51-year-old man called dispatch stating a vehicle was tailgating him on Main Street. During contact with dispatch, the man grew agitated and began yelling and swearing about officers not responding fast enough. He then hung up, but continued to call back multiple times and swear at dispatch, before hanging up again.
April 18 – Dispatch received a report of an intoxicated male struggling around a residence’s garage along College Avenue. Officers located the man and deemed him highly intoxicated. He was not wearing a shirt, could not stand, form any sentences, or tell officers his name. The man was taken to the hospital due to his level of intoxication.
April 19 – A caller reported a man at the La Quinta Inn was “high on meth” and causing a disturbance throughout the hotel. Officers made contact with the man who admitted to snorting methamphetamine two days prior. The man believed the methamphetamine may be interacting with his prescription medication, but denied any medical assistance. La Quinta Inn requested the man vacate his room that same morning.
April 19 – Officers advised three individuals to not walk on train tracks near Wayne Street.
April 20 – A 16-year-old and 17-year-old received citations for performing donuts in the parking lot of Bukolt Park.
April 21 – Two students at Ben Franklin Junior High School were found in a “dark room at school under suspicious circumstances.”
April 21 – Officers witnessed a juvenile male in a park with what appeared to be a rifle, but ultimately ended up being a BB gun that looked similarly to a rifle. He stated he used it to hunt squirrels. Officers advised the juvenile and his father that the BB gun can only be used within their yard.
April 22 – A 17-year-old student walked away from Point of Discovery School. An officer located a tobacco vape which the student received a citation for.
April 22 – Officers responded to Maria Drive for a call of a burning complaint. Upon arrival, officers saw two males who began running. The men were found and issued citations for obstruction, burning, and more.
April 23 – A 20-year-old woman reported a 40-year-old man on Maria Drive was swinging a stick near her vehicle and pulling on the vehicle’s doors.
April 23 – A mother reported a group of teenage boys were swearing at her children at Bukolt Park. The teenagers told the officers on scene that the child had been swearing at them.
April 23 – A student at Point of Discovery School reported that sexually explicit videos were sent to them by another student.
April 23 – A juvenile ran from Marshfield Clinic because he “didn’t want to get seen because he doesn’t like doctors.”
April 23 – Officers responded to Taco Johns for a stolen bike, which was later found by the owners.
