• July 31 – A Wood Street address was broken into and vandalized with spray paint.
• July 31 – A 50-year-old woman reported a white truck was not stopping for pedestrians on Main Street, and nearly struck her while she was crossing the road. She provided officers with a partial plate number, however when officers reviewed Flock cameras they were unable to locate the vehicle.
• July 31 – Officers located a 36-year-old woman trespassing inside Dime and Dollar on Church Street. She was taken into custody.
• July 31 – A 36-year-old man was reportedly saying inappropriate things to minor girls at their work place.
• July 31 – A call about a woman being on the floor led officers to discovering a domestic disturbance had occurred at an Orchid Lane residence. The woman on the floor was later arrested for disorderly conduct and battery with domestic enhancers.
• July 31 – A 69-year-old man was reported to be sitting outside Metro Market and making inappropriate comments towards customers and employees.
• July 31 – A woman attempted to purchase a vehicle on Facebook Marketplace and was scammed out of $1,700.
• Aug. 1 – A traffic stop for a vehicle with no lights on at Second Street led to the arrest of a 24-year-old man for OWI first offense.
• Aug. 1 – A 48-year-old man travelling through town had to visit the police department to advise them of his overnight stay in a local hotel due to him being on the sex registry for life.
• Aug. 1 – A woman spoke with an officer regarding her neighbor’s frequent noise complaints he makes against her. The man had made two noise complaints against the woman that day, both of which officers stated were unfounded. The woman stated she believes he may be reporting her and her wife frequently because they are gay.
• Aug. 1 – A man reported that a suspicious man had knocked on his door on Lindbergh Avenue asking if a woman lived at that address. The suspicious man was later stopped by officers. He explained that he went to the address after talking with a woman online who claimed to live there, but officers realized the woman was not real and had lied to the man.
• Aug. 1 – Officers discovered the bus stop on Main Street and Strongs Avenue was “a mess with paper bags and food after a church from Plover dropped off bag lunches for the homeless.”
• Aug. 1 – A 43-year-old man was intoxicated and upset that his air conditioning unit was not working in his room at the Baymont Inn. Staff stated he broke the air conditioning unit. The man wanted his room changed or a refund. After staff members directed the man to a kiosk where he could speak with someone about a refund or room change, he grew agitated and began filming the employees. The staff then requested he leave. The man was trespassed from the Baymont Inn and given a ride to a gas station.
• Aug. 2 – A caller reported seeing a man and woman “having sex” on a trail in Koziczkowski Park. Officers made contact with the two juveniles who admitted to touching each other sexually. The female was cited for disorderly conduct. The male was cited for disorderly conduct and possession of vapor products by a minor.
• Aug. 2 – A 69-year-old man was causing a disturbance at JR Liquor. He was escorted off the property and transported by ambulance after not feeling well.
• Aug. 2 – Officers responded to a single vehicle crash near West River Drive and Rocky Run Road. One occupant was cited for possession of marijuana.
• Aug. 3 – A 36-year-old woman stole 15 packages of rib eye steak, four pounds of shrimp, and $610 from her grandmother’s residence.
• Aug. 3 – The owner of Ski’s Meat Market reported that someone stole a check of theirs that they had mailed out. The check was then cashed. Additionally, someone allegedly made a false check with their business name on it and then cashed the fake check.
• Aug. 3 – Stevens Point Police Officers assisted the Wausau Police Department in arrested a man who was involved with a shooting investigation in Wausau. During a traffic stop at Hoover Road, the 33-year-old man was taken into custody.
• Aug. 3 – A juvenile stole items from Festival Foods.
• Aug. 3 – A man reported his phone and wallet were stolen while in Walmart.
• Aug. 4 – A political sign was damaged at a Stanley Street address.
• Aug. 4 – A 75-year-old woman was “annoyed someone followed her for two blocks after flipping them off.”
• Aug. 4 – Officers took a report of a minor being blackmailed into sending money online.
• Aug. 5 – A 55-year-old man reported two men sleep in the hallway that connects storage units on Minnesota Avenue. He told them to leave multiple times and wants them trespassed.
• Aug. 5 – Two men were physically fighting over $20 in the parking lot near Partners Pub.
• Aug. 6 – Officers were dispatched to Texas Avenue to assist medical personnel. After entering the residence a death investigation was initiated.
• Aug. 6 – A 33-year-old man reported a dog hanging outside of a truck on Main Street. The man proceeded to scream at officers about not properly doing their job. He did not tell officers what happened and then left the scene. A nearby witness informed officers that the dog was fine; she had placed the leashed dog into the bed of the truck it was by.
• Aug. 6 – A 40-year-old man reported his social security number was potentially being used by someone else.
