STEVENS POINT — Jeff Disher, owner of Disher Electric, announced his intent to run for Wisconsin’s 71st Assembly District Seat.
The 71st Assembly District Seat is currently held by Representative Vincent Miresse, who announced his bid for re-election in April. Miresse, a democrat, has held the seat since Jan. 6, 2025. Disher is running as a republican in the upcoming race.
Disher and his wife started Disher Electric in 2003. Prior to becoming a business owner, Disher earned an electric power engineering technician certification from Mid-State Technical College. He then completed an apprenticeship in Marshfield before he earned his master electrician license.
