Children’s Museum to temporarily close for cleaning

Posted

STEVENS POINT — The Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum (CWCM) will close to the public for its annual museum deep-cleaning and exhibit installation from Aug. 30 through Sept. 8.
During the temporary closure, staff and volunteers will be hard at work patching, painting, cleaning, and installing new exhibit pieces throughout the museum. With families settling into new school-year routines, the closure provides an ideal opportunity for CWCM to complete this important work and make improvements to the museum.
Visitors can check out the updates when the downtown Stevens Point museum reopens on Sept. 9, with new hours:
Monday: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Tuesday: Closed

Wednesday: 12–6 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
“We have a list of tasks on our to-do list,” said Community Outreach Coordinator Holly Osterbrink. “A handful of the projects will result in behind-the-scenes improvements, and we will have a couple of museum floor updates to share with all our friends.”
