STEVENS POINT — The Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (SPACVB) announced the appointment of Jodi Maguire as the new Executive Director, effective Dec. 8, 2025. Currently serving as the Director of Operations for Visit Wausau, Maguire will succeed Megan Vruwink, who recently transitioned out of the organization.
Following the announcement of former Executive Director’s departure, the SPACVB executive search committee launched a comprehensive search for her successor. Maguire emerged as a strong candidate, bringing over 10 years of experience in tourism promotion and tourism development, as well as demonstrated strong leadership in operations, advancing regional initiatives, fostering collaboration, and building transparency and trust within organizations and communities.
“Leading the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau requires a unique mix of expertise and leadership experience,” said Amy Boston, Chair of the SPACVB Board of Directors. “Our executive search committee was committed to selecting the candidate who best exemplifies those qualities.”
Known for her expertise in grant writing and relationship-building, Jodi has worked closely with local businesses, municipalities, and industry partners to enhance the visitor experience.
“Jodi’s leadership and collaborative spirit made her an invaluable part of Visit Wausau’s success,” said Tim White, Executive Director of Visit Wausau. “We’re thrilled to see her take the helm in Stevens Point and are confident she’ll bring the same excellence and energy to their community.”
“The Stevens Point Area is home to remarkable assets, many developed through strong partnerships and dedicated effort that benefit the entire region,” said Amy Boston. “The executive search committee is confident that Jodi will lead our talented team with excellence and continue enhancing the experience for both residents and visitors. We are excited to welcome her leadership at the Bureau.”
