Entrepreneurs launch hop-infused seasoning

Posted

STEVENS POINT — A new hop-infused seasoning brand is available, celebrating its’ central Wisconsin heritage with a launch event at the Stevens Point Brewery.
HOPZAH, founded by Michael More and Tyler Marchant, is a pizza seasoning that that includes locally grown hops that compliment a profile of herbs, chili spice, and citrus elements. More and Marchant were inspired by Wisconsin’s brewing and hop-growing culture, with a desire to bring it to pizza.
Based in Stevens Point, HOPZAH uses fresh hops from Fine Bine Farms in Rosholt. The seasoning is naturally gluten free and made without preservatives or added salt.
“Central Wisconsin has a long connection to craft beer and agriculture,” said Marchant. “This product celebrates that identity by taking the flavor of real hops and making it accessible in a completely new way.”
To celebrate its’ central Wisconsin creation and upbringing, a launch event was held at the Stevens Point Brewery Taproom on Nov. 7. The taproom was filled with local residents pairing Point Brewery beer with the local pizza seasoning provided on complimentary pizza. Attendees were able to taste HOPZAH and hear the brands’ origin story from the founders.
HOPZAH is available to purchase through the company’s website www.hopzah.com
