Fatal accident in Town of Eau Pleine

TOWN OF EAU PLEINE — One woman was announced deceased after a fatal accident on private property in the Town of Eau Pleine.
On Aug. 19, at approximately 4:31 p.m., the Portage County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a female who had sustained injuries from a low-speed vehicle on private property located near Dubay Colony Road in the Town of Eau Pleine. Multiple agencies responded to the location and attempted to provide life saving care to the female.
The female, a 62-year-old Town of Eau Pleine resident, died as a result of the incident. Investigation into the incident is currently ongoing by the Portage County Sheriff’s Office and Portage County Medical Examiner’s Office.
