On June 30, around 2 a.m., a 48-year-old woman reported her 63-year-old boyfriend was missing after they had been tubing together on the Plover River. The woman advised they began their trip at Jordan Park on June 29 at 1 p.m. At some point during the tubing trip, the pair became separated. The woman stated she last saw her boyfriend around 6 p.m. on June 29.
The woman stated she exited the river about five hours later at 10:50 p.m. and attempted to locate the man before contacting law enforcement.
While numerous resources were deployed to locate the man, at 7:14 a.m. on June 30 a man could be heard yelling for help near Oxbow Road. Residents located the man and assisted him out of the water. He received medical treatment while on the scene, but declined transportation to a local hospital.
