The Iola Thunderbirds hosted Central Wisconsin Conference-East rival Manawa at home on Feb. 3.
Thunderbird’s Alex Robbins led all scorers with 22 points, shooting an efficient 10-of-19 from the floor while adding three assists and a steal. He was complemented by RJ Opperman, who poured in 19 points on 63.6% shooting and a perfect four-for-four from the free-throw line.
Inside, Korz Loken was dominant, recording a 14-point, nine rebound performance while shooting 75.0% from the field.
Manawa’s Vincente Timm paced his team with 14 points on an efficient 6-of-11 shooting, including two three-pointers. Brayden Zielke chipped in 12 points and nine rebounds.
Iola-Scandinavia dominated in the second half outscoring the Wolves 45-21, as they tacked on another CWC-East win by a score of 84-47.
