STEVENS POINT— The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Olson Museum of Natural History has opened a gift shop selling nature-related gifts and toys, apparel, stationery, rocks and jewelry and other items.
The shop will open on Dec. 2 and is located in the southeast corner of the first floor of the Science Building, 2001 Fourth Ave. and is the first area available to the public in the new location. The former museum location in Albertson Hall closed in 2022.
The museum gift shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Hours are expected to expand later in the academic year.
The Olson Museum of Natural History is also offering Junior Scientist programs led by UWSP students. Held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings for ages 7-12 in a classroom adjacent to the museum, this semester’s last program is “Wisconsin Cave Wonders” on Dec. 4.
